None disclosed. <br /> <br />AB 1234 ORAL REPORTS <br />Mayor DeLaRosa asked the members present if there were any brief reports on meetings attended at the <br />expense of the City. (GC Section 53232.3(d). <br /> <br />CM González announced his attendance at the State of Education Address held in the City of San Bernardino on <br />September 21, 2017. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS <br /> <br />District 2 Councilmember Cisneros submitted the following names for board and commission appointments: <br /> District 2 – Planning Commission – Richard Prieto <br /> District 2 – Parks and Recreation Commission – Erika Hernandez <br /> District 2 – Civil Service Board – Randy Rivera <br /> District 2 – Historic Preservation Commission – Jess Vasquez <br /> <br />District 3 Councilmember Navarro submitted the following names for commission appointments; <br /> District 3 – Parks and Recreation Commission – Maria Serrano <br /> District 3 – Historic Preservation Commission – Rita Carter <br /> <br />Appointments made with full consensus and support of Councilmembers present; so ratified. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> <br /> Discussion and possible direction regarding letter to LAFCO in support of sphere of influence and <br />annexation of 200 acres in the Reche Canyon area, which are currently owned by the City of Loma <br />Linda. <br />City Manager Smith: clarified the subject matter as a letter of support for sphere of influence change; <br /> <br />ITEM PULLED NO ACTION TAKEN AT THIS TIME. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />The following community members addressed the Council: Jason Phillipe; Mark Garcia; Andrew Goodman; <br />Lisa Haro; and Christine Irish-Ré.
